Cheap Flights to Hawaii in July
So you are flying to Hawaii in July and looking for a cheap flight. Let me show you how to ensure you are getting the very best price possible on your hawaii tickets.
- FYI, if you are booking flights to Hawaii for July in July, expect to pay $600 to $900 or more, even from the west coast. If you are booking flights to Hawaii in the spring for July, then you may be able to get prices as low as $400 round trip. Sometimes, a local supplier like Hawaiian airlines will have a killer deal and you can find a $300 ticket from the west coast, but that’s the cheapest you will normally find anywhere.
- Visit Expedia
- Check Hawaiian Airlines
- Wait a few hours, then go back and check expedia again – prices do change that fast. Wait a day or two. Check prices often. This is if you have the luxury of time. Just be aware that sometimes you will get lucky, and if you know what the going rate is you will know when you have found a cheap deal and you will be willing to whip out your credit card and buy it on the spot
- If you are comfortable, consider bidding at priceline
- Check pleasant hawaiian holidays and maybe panda online – their prices aren’t normally any better than Hawaiian’s, but sometimes they gave cool deals like companion flys for $50 that can really decrease your price.
- Make your decision and buy your tickets, knowing that you got the best deal possible!
All the online booking engine’s use the same database to get their prices from, so you could go to anyone, but I prefer Expedia. Type in your approximate dates and where you are flying to and from – say July 1st to July 9th, leaving from LAX to HNL.
This will bring up the fare compare screen and you’ll be able to see at a glance what out-of-the-box prices are. On my search I see lowest price at $600 and highest at $947. Now you know what the average is for prices – now you have a ballpark idea of the going rate.
Hawaiian oftentimes has fantastic deals. Check and see if they are running any specials.
By this time, you will be positive what prices are when you want to fly. You could bid half of that and see what happens. Increase your bid by the minimum allowable if need be.
Actually, this is basically the same way you get a good price on a flight to Hawaii anytime
So leave me a comment and let me know how you did! Lisa
