I have several great ideas of presents to get for honeymooners or kids going on spring break, or parents, or just your dearest friends who are taking their first (or 50th) Hawaii vacation.
(See the backpack over to the right – it’s actually a cooler – that’s one of my favorite ideas for a gift because in Hawaii it’s hot, you need to drink a lot of liquids, and you are outside a lot. We had one of these and we used it EVERY DAY. If that one doesn’t appeal to you – here’s a whole bunch of them – lots of different styles)
The Go Oahu Card or the Go Maui Card. This is a fantastic option for anyone going to Oahu or Maui. It’s a card that you can buy for a certain number of days, and your gift recipient can visit any included activitey (there’s a lot) during those days.
The Hawaii entertainment book. This is best for Oahu, good for Maui, decent for the big island, and not great for kauai. It’s a huge coupon book that saves most on dining and activities. Read my review or go right to the book.
Another awesome idea is to purchase them a lei greeting at the airport. These are not automatically given out when you arrive in Hawaii and haven’t been for many years, but you can buy one.
Do you have any other suggestions on what would be the best gift for someone who is going to Hawaii? I’d love to hear your ideas! Lisa
