When you get to Maui, you will find some restaurant coupons in the visitors guides that are everywhere. The guides are called things like this week and discover maui, and 101 things to do in Hawaii and they are totally free – just pick them up in the racks at the airport and your hotel and outside of restaurants and attractions.

Inside the guides are coupons and discounts for restaurants and activities and such. The restaurant coupons will be for things like an early bird special or money off an entree.

Order One Meal, Feed Two

Maui cheetah recommends, at the nicer restaurants where portions are likely to be large, to ask your wait person if one entree can serve two people, and if so split it. Saving you $20 or so – but then he says be sure to tip 25%.

Buy One Get One Free and More Coupons

I always recommend that visitors get the Hawaii Entertainment book for restaurant coupons for especially Oahu and cometimes Maui, because they have plenty of restaurant coupons for these two islands. Most are buy one get one free, sometimes saving more than $20.

In the 2011 edition, they offer 12 coupons just for Maui restaurants plus 25% off a luau for 4 adults, plus several other coupons good anywhere in Hawaii that there is a store, like kfc and jack in the box, and some activity coupons too.

The Maui Leisure Guide has some good coupons. I see a free pasta dinner with the purchase of another and 1/2 off a dinner entree.

I just checked restaurant.com and they seem to have nothing for all of Maui, so that’s not a good option right now.

The Hawaii Entertainment Book provides hundreds of discounts and coupons for all the islands; including over 200 restaurant coupons, over 5,000 hotel and travel offers, and many shopping offers. Even the locals buy this book.
